# Riska (https://riska.io/)

_Ask Riska now reads your whole book_

## The Agentic Insurance Platform

Every tool for end to end insurance made agent native so you can automate and build profitable strategy.

## Built for every team that writes, places or carries risk.

MGAs, MGUs, Carriers, Reinsurers, Underwriters, Brokers, Agents, Wholesalers, Program managers, Captives

_What changes_

## More profitable premium per underwriter.

Riska takes rekeying, chasing and reconciling out of every stage of the policy, so the same team quotes more of what it wants to write, prices it from the rate book and keeps it at renewal.

### Quote faster

Quote first, at a lower cost per file. Email, portal and API submissions land in one triage list as complete files. Nobody rekeys a schedule, so handling cost comes off the expense ratio and your quote reaches the broker first.

- **Nothing sits unread.** Every channel feeds one triage list, so no broker waits because a file landed in the wrong mailbox.
- **Review exceptions, not every field.** 92% of extracted fields need no review, and every value links to the page it came from.

### Write to appetite

Write the risks your loss ratio can carry. Knockouts, referrals and score bands run on every submission before it moves on. Appetite changes go live the day you release them, and results flow back to the rule that let the business in.

- **Decline in seconds, not days.** Out-of-appetite risk is answered on arrival, so underwriters spend their day on business you want.
- **Fix the segment, not the book.** Hit rate and loss ratio, attributed to each rule, show which revision will move the result.

### Price to the rate book

Every quote at the rate you decided. Rating runs from the released rate book, pinned to its version, so a rate you decide this week prices next week's quotes for every underwriter, agent and Riska at once. Changed inputs re-rate automatically, and a file cannot bind on stale rating. No spreadsheet, no release cycle.

- **Authority holds without supervision.** Referrals route themselves, and files under authority never wait.
- **Riska prices, your people sign.** The quote arrives assembled with its working shown.
- **Last year's losses price this year's business.** Loss runs feed straight back into rating.

### Watch the book

Know where premium stands today, not at month end. Written, earned and in-force premium move as business binds, next to loss ratio and bind ratio, so you catch drift in loss ratio or concentration while you can still act.

- **Close the month without reconciling.** Endorsements, rewrites and audits post their own premium, and unearned premium, remittance and the GL tie out at close.
- **Billing that fits the product.** Payment plans are set per product, so a new program launches with billing already working.

### Keep the good renewals

Renew the accounts you want to keep. Renewals are scheduled ahead of expiry, re-rated and carried forward with the insured's profile. Quiet accounts get followed up, and new lines launch from a blueprint on the system you already run.

- **No renewal slips through.** Each file is rebuilt, re-priced and routed before expiry.
- **A new line in an afternoon.** Launch a product with your rates and appetite, no IT project.

_Intake to premium collection_

## Riska does the handling. Underwriters make the call.

Riska runs every step from intake to premium collection. People approve at the points you set and every action is audited, so you write more premium without adding headcount or losing control.

1. **Intake** Brokers send it however they like. You get one triage list.
2. **Ingest** Read, classified and enriched in seconds. Nothing rekeyed.
3. **Triage** Off-appetite risk declined before anyone opens it.
4. **Price & Quote** Quoted from the released rate book, with referrals routed automatically.
5. **Bind, Bill, & Payout** Bound, billed and paid without a single handoff.
6. **Support & Renew** Renewals rebuilt before expiry, not after.

## Typical results in a team's first twelve months running its new-business flow on Riska.

- 4.2x: More submissions cleared per underwriter
- 15%+: More premium written inside your appetite
- 31 min: Median time from email to priced file
- 0: Spreadsheets in the rating path

_Speed to market_

## Launch a product in weeks. Change a rate in a day.

New lines, endorsement types and rate changes are configuration. Test them against your real book in a sandbox, check the premium, and release when you decide. Rate adequacy never waits on an IT project.

- **No release queue**: Your team changes products, forms and rates directly, so a decision reaches the market the week it is made instead of waiting on an IT roadmap.
- **Test before it prices**: Try a change against your real book in a sandbox and see its effect on premium before a single live quote uses it.
- **Control stays built in**: Every change is versioned, approved by the people you name and easy to roll back, so moving faster never means losing oversight.

_One system_

## Replace the stack you pay to keep in sync.

Intake, underwriting, policy admin, billing, claims and documents run in one platform, connected by the Data Mesh. No integrations to maintain, no reconciliations to run, and no two reports that disagree. What you spent keeping systems in sync comes off the expense ratio.

- **Fewer systems to license and maintain**: One platform takes the place of the intake inbox, rating sheets, policy admin and billing tools, and the integrations that held them together.
- **No handoffs to lose work**: Underwriting, billing and claims work from the same live account, so nothing is rekeyed between teams and nothing falls through a gap.
- **Documents in and out automatically**: Every attachment is read the moment it lands, and binders, policy forms, quotes and notices go out from your own templates.

> "We stopped losing submissions in the inbox. The file is open, extracted and scored before anyone on my team has looked at it. They spend the morning underwriting, not typing." — Chief Underwriting Officer, Specialty carrier

> 3.1x Submission throughput, same headcount

### What is Riska?

Riska is the Agentic Operations Platform [AOP] for Insurance. It takes a risk from submission to renewal in one system: intake, underwriting, rating, policy administration, billing, claims and portfolio reporting enforcing your defined strategy along the way. Carriers, MGAs and brokers use it to automate their operations on a system that gets smarter through combination of AI and human feature sets.

### What results do teams see?

Typical results in a team's first twelve months running its new-business flow on Riska: 4.2x more submissions cleared per underwriter, more than 15% more premium written inside their appetite, a median of 31 minutes from broker email to priced file, and 3.1x submission throughput at the same headcount. The gain comes from underwriters spending their day on risk instead of on typing and chasing.

### What does Riska replace?

The intake inbox, rating spreadsheets, policy administration system, billing platform and document tools, consolidated into one platform. That means fewer licences to pay for, no integrations to maintain and no rekeying when work moves between teams. With the Data Mesh, every team works from the same live record of each account, so reports stop disagreeing.

### Do we have to rip out our policy administration system?

No. Many teams run Riska alongside their existing PAS, using it for intake, underwriting and analytics while the legacy system keeps issuing. When the numbers agree, you retire the old system on your own schedule and Riska runs the full policy lifecycle, from new business through endorsements to renewal.

### How fast can we go live?

Most teams start with one line of business: connect a mailbox, load historical policies, and run live submissions alongside the existing process until the results match. Setup is configuration, not custom development, so the first line goes live in weeks and each one after it goes faster.

### Can we trust the AI's decisions?

You decide where it acts on its own and where a person signs off. Every extracted value traces back to the page it came from, people approve at whatever points you set, and every action, human or AI, is audited. Riska's AI can only see and do what the person it works for is allowed to.

### Can we change products and rates without IT?

Yes. Products, endorsement types, appetite and rates are versioned configuration your team owns. Every change is tested in a sandbox against your real book before it prices a live quote, and goes live when you release it.

### How is our data kept secure?

Your data can never be seen by another customer, and every action taken on it is on the record. Tenant isolation is enforced by the database itself through row-level security rather than by application code, so a query that forgets to filter returns nothing instead of another customer's rows. Sign-in runs through your identity provider with SSO and SCIM provisioning, and a full audit trail shows who changed what, and when.

## See it on your own submissions.

Bring your messiest files. We'll take them from inbox to priced quote while you watch.

## Built on the Data Mesh.

Every product line, submission, policy, premium posting and claim is a node on one mesh, so every answer about the book draws on all of it.

1. **Build** Deploy product lines, submission inboxes, appetite rules and the metrics you run the book on, all on one connected model.
2. **Automate** Triage every incoming submission on arrival, and hand the work you already understand to agents that do it the same way every time.
3. **Understand & Improve** Every bind, decline and loss feeds back into the mesh, so appetite, triage and pricing learn from how the book actually performed.
